our mission

The Mont Belvieu Parks and Recreation Department is responsible for the direction, supervision, operation, and maintenance of our parks. The City Park and Cherry Point Park are all located on 86 acres. 

The Parks and Recreation Department, with volunteer support, is the driving force behind great community events such as July 4th, Christmas on the Hill Parade, and the Annual Easter Egg Hunt. The Department also oversees The Hilltop at Eagle Pointe - a center for active senior adults.

In addition to managing the City’s wonderful parks and popular programs, the department is responsible for mowing the City’s medians, roadsides, ditches, parks, and maintaining the grounds of City Hall.


Renting park facilities

Mont Belvieu makes some of our best areas available to the public to rent and reserve for special occasions. Choose from our Pavilion with picnic tables or our scenic Amphitheater & Boardwalk at City Park!

If your event is larger than 50 people, please complete a Special Event Permit found here and return it to mfuentes@montbelvieu.net.

Once booked, this facility is yours from either:
• 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM or
• 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM. 

Reservations may be made up to ninety (90) days in advance; but a minimal seven (7) days advance notice is required. 

A $25.00 Non-Refundable Fee is required for the use of the Community Pavilion area.

All "event trash" must be removed by host at the conclusion of event.
