General Information
A Permit is required for the install of an Irrigation system. The requirements adopted by the City can be found in the 2018 International Residential Code, 2018 International Plumbing Code, TCEQ Requirement
Submittal Requirements
Please apply at The City’s online system My Government Online
Required Documents
- Site Plan/Survey – Showing the location of the lines and a Backflow prevention also need to be stamped by a Licensed Irrigator
- License Irrigator
Inspection Requirements
An inspection request must be scheduled through My Government Online and performed by the City of Mont Belvieu for each task listed below:
- Underground Plumbing
- Inspect plumbing material
- Have plumbing tested and in code compliance
- Final Inspection
- Site has been Cleaned from all Debris
- In addition, a Backflow Prevention Form need to be uploaded to the My Government Online
- If Commercial you will need to use the Vepo account and upload the report that you have add the Backflow to the Vepo system

Use My Government Online to request all inspections. If for any reason you cannot log into your account, please:
- Call the Customer Service line at (866) 957-3764
- then press 5 for a new inspection.
All Inspection requests placed before 8:00 a.m. Monday through Friday will have a same-day inspection.
