Disconnect or Suspend Services

Disconnect Utility Service

Utility services include water, sewer, solid waste, and MB Link. Water, sewer, and solid waste for residential customers are considered bundled services and must be disconnected together. MB Link may be disconnected separately if the customer wishes to leave the other services active. Disconnection of services may only be requested by the utility account holder. For same-day disconnection, the required documentation must be turned in to the utility billing office before 12:00 pm Monday through Thursday. If the service termination request date falls on a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday, the disconnection will take place the following Monday.

To Disconnect Utility Services:

  • Complete the Service Termination Form
  • Turn in the Service Termination Form to the Utility Billing office with a copy of the account holder’s driver’s license. The form can be dropped off at the Utility Billing Window located inside City Hall or emailed to utilitybilling@montbelvieu.net..

SUSPEND UTILITY SERVICE

Utility services may be suspended for no longer than six months per calendar year. Water, sewer, and solid waste for residential customers are considered bundled services and must be suspended together. MB Link may be suspended separately if the customer wishes to leave the other services active. If the customer requests temporary activation of utility service during the suspension period, the suspension is voided and the account will return to active status. Suspensions may only be requested by the utility account holder.

To Suspend Utility Services:

  • Complete the Suspension Request Form
  • Turn in the Suspension Request to the Utility Billing office with a copy of the account holder’s driver’s license. The form can be dropped off at the Utility Billing Window located inside City Hall or emailed to utilitybilling@montbelvieu.net.
