Throughout the year, trips are planned. The time and place of these trips depends on the availability of transportation. Dates and times will be posted on this website once plans are made. Trips are varied depending on the interests of the group who participate in the activities at the center. In the past, the group has:

  • Gone to the International Quilt Festival in Houston.
  • Gone to Round Top and take many other trips.
  • Gone to the Houston Livestock Show.
  • Participated in the Quilt Shop Hop for the Houston / Bay Area.
  • Taken a boat trip on the Trinity River.
  • Toured antique shops in the Brenham area.

On Tuesdays and Fridays, various card games are played such as Canasta, Spice and Malice, and Chicken Foot. These games change as the group changes. If you are a card or domino player, come join the fun.

Welcome Newcomers & New Activities

If you are a newcomer to the area or know of someone who is, please tell them about our center. What a better way to get to know your neighbors than to participate in programs like the ones provided by the center. The center is always welcome to suggestions for new activities for seniors. If you have an idea, please contact Loretta Dixon.
