Public Comments At City Council Meetings

A statement of no more than five minutes (agenda) or five minutes (non-agenda) items may be made on items of general relevance. One deferral will be allowed for anyone wishing to delegate their time to another person up to a maximum of ten minutes on non-agenda items. In no case shall anyone speak for more than ten minutes.

Please note, Texas state law prohibits the Mayor and members of the City Council from commenting on any statement or engaging in dialogue without an appropriate agenda item being posted in accordance with the Texas Open Meetings Law. Comments should be directed to the entire council, not individual members.

If a resident wishing to speak during public comment or a public hearing desires to have a presentation or other digital media available as a part of their comments, those files must be submitted to no later than 12:00 p.m. on the date of the posted meeting. No digital materials will be accepted after this time or in person via USB drive at the time of the meeting.
